PHOTO BY NASA SHOWS EXTENT SMOG OVER NORTH INDIA




The extent view of smog over parts of North India and Pakistan have been captured by the NASA's Earth-observing satellite on 7th November, this layer of fog and haze is showing the airborne pollution which is covering over several major cities of India which includes New Delhi,Lucknow, Kanpur and Lahore. Delhi based US Embassy has recorded a high level of air polluted quality index of 7 on scale of level 1-10 which is 10 times higher than acceptable levels.

Abu Dhabi Based Fund Looks To Invest $2 billion in India

Next Orbit Ventures (NOVF) ESDM,a newly established Abu Dhabi based fund. It has launched a $2 billion fund to invest in India’s semiconductor and Electronic industries. Mumbai Based private equity firm Next Orbit Ventures set up the fund under the regulation of the Abu Dhabi Global Market financial centre after receiving funding commitments from the gulf region. Around $1.5 billion for the fund will be raised from the regions while the remaining $500 million has been secured from a consortium of Investors involving both the Indian Government and Ultra high net worth individuals. The Investment are aimed at creating the required infrastructure to cope with India’s fast growing market for electronic goods and components. First Dalit women IAS Officer named Karnataka chief secretary

After Appointing a Women IPS Officer as state police chief for the First time last month, the congress Government in Karnataka on Tuesday named a 1981- Batch Women IAS officer as Chief secretary. Ratna Prabha, 59 a Dalit will be the third woman to be the chief Secretary of Karnataka. Prabha was appointed chief secretary on Tuesday with Kuntia due to retire at the end of the month. Last year, amid reports of heavy lobbying for the top bureaucratic Post, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was accused by the opposition of overlooking Prabha and appointing the Low-profile Kuntia who was in Delhi in the central Government since 2012. Prabha, who served many years as secretary for Information technology in the Erstwhile Andhra Pradesh Government before returning to Karnataka a few years Ago, had last year post out in the running for the chief secretary post to her batchmate Subhash Chandra Kuntia.
