DEBJANI GHOSH BECAME THE FIRST WOMAN PRESIDENT OF NASSCOM

The National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) on Friday named Debjani Ghosh as its president designate who will succeed R. Chandrasekhar after completion of his tenure in March next year. Ghosh, a former managing Director of Intel South Asia, will be the first woman president of Nasscom. Ghosh has been a member of Nasscom’s Executive council and a trustee of Nasscom foundation.

Ghosh said that I firmly believe that Nasscom is much more strategically placed than any other forum to drive the IT Agenda of the country. The Indian IT and business process outsourcing industry has been one of the growth drivers for the economy and is today a USD 150 billion sector representing multiple sub sectors. Nasscom will further enhance its initiatives in innovation, disruptive technologies, skills and new market access. It is a reflection of the Importance of diversity and inclusion of the industry.
