ASEAN Summit Begins Prime Minister to Meet President Donald Trump
On the sidelines of the 31st ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Summit begins held in Manila, Philippines, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Monday hold bilateral meeting with US president Donald Trump and also Philippines president Rodrigo Duterte. He will also visit the International Rice research Institute and Maheveer Philippines Foundation.
PM arrived in Manila on a three day visit to attend the ASEAN-India and East Asia summits. India comprises a combined population of 1.85 billion people, one fourth of the global population. Modi and Trump met informally on Sunday evening before a dinner hosted by the Philippines president For leaders ahead of the ASEAN summit. New Delhi is going Monday bilateral meeting with the expectation that Trump, who had warned Islamabad of consequences if it continues to support terror groups while announcing his Afghan and south Asia policy in august.
