NGT SLAMS DELHI GOVT. ON ACTING LATE ON ODD-EVEN
National Green Tribunal slammed Delhi government for acting late on rising pollution level on Saturday, why they did not applied the odd-even rule when the the quality of air was worse.

However, a sign of relief for Delhi NCR citizens, the Indian metro-logical Department on Friday said air quality in the capital should improve from Saturday as wind speed would pick up and help disperse pollutants.
The temperature is not expected to be low either and we expect a marked improvement in air quality starting Saturday. State run Delhi transport corporation is set to face a loss amounting to Rs 9.5 crore with the Delhi government announcing free bus rides during the implementation of the odd even road rationing scheme next week. The DTC is also facing a financial crisis as DTC which has a fleet of nearly 4000 buses, carries around 28 lakh passenger daily and earn Rs 1.88 crore per day.
