Instant Triple Talaq is a punishable offence: Govt. plans law




Three months after the Supreme Court set aside the centuries old practice of instant triple talaq or talaq-e- biddat in which Muslim men divorce their wives by uttering talaq three times in quick succession, the government has taken the first step to consider a legislation that will make triple talaq A Criminal offence. A committee of ministers has been constituted to fine tune the legislation. The committee comprises home minister Rajnath Singh, External affair minister Sushma Swaraj, finance minister Arun Jaitely etc. On the one hand is this government strange obsession with saving Muslim women. On the other side is the complete indifference to issues which affect women across religions, gender and sexual orientation such as martial rape, right of queer people to get married and raised children etc.

India First Humanoid Robot “Mitra” launched At GES 2017

Mitra The Humanoid Robot that Greeted Prime minister Narendra Modi And Ivanka Trump at the inaugurations of the 2017 Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) Has been developed by a Bangalore based start up Invento Robotics. Made of Fibre-reinforced plastic, The five Foot tall humanoid is capable of face and speech recognition and can interact with human being smartly. S HILPOTSAV (Shilp means crafts & utsav means celebration or festival)   - A ten-day trade fair, held at  Ramlila Ground Noida Stadium  in Sector 21A from October 6, 2017. The event, organized by UP Tourism in association with  Noida Authority  and district administration inaugurated by Rita Bahuguna Joshi, minister for tourism, Uttar Pradesh.The event aims to promote artisans from Uttar Pradesh and other Indian states.
