6.4 magnitude earthquake hit Tibet shakes North Eastern region




On Saturday at 4:04 am people of North Eastern region woke up to a tremor last a couple of second.  The earthquake of 6.4 on the Richter scale hit southern eastern Tibet. There was no report of any loss of life or damage to property from any of the North eastern states. The tremor was also felt in Dibrugarh, North Lakhimpur, Jorhat, Tezpur, Guwahati and other places in Assam as also in Kohima in Nagaland. The India Meteorological department (IMD) website explains that the earthquake as of moderate intensifies put the epicenter at latitude 30.1 degree north and longitude 95.1 degree east. The quake struck at a depth of about 10 km state run. The second quake struck at a depth of about 6 km many Earthquakes are crossed in this region area.
